Thalapathy Vijay's political thriller is said to be a gold at box office, it has entered 100 crore club just in two days.
On the first day itself the film grossed a whopping of Rs 30.5 crore in Tamil Nadu and the sources say it is the biggest opener ever. According to sources in the trade, the film has now emerged as the highest grossing film in south India earning over Rs 220 crore at the ticket window. It has surpassed the record of Ramcharan's Rangasthalam lifetime gross 218 crores.
This is Vijay's fourth 100 crore grosser film after Theri, Bairavaa and Mersal.
Actor Vijay plays as NRI in film, who returns to Chennai to cast his Vote then he realizes his vote has been cast illegally. Then he challenges for the system to be in process. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Radha Ravi, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and Yogi Babu in prominent roles.
