Cyclone Gaja that has caused severe damage to infrastructure, property, agriculture and over 45 lives till now. The state government Tamilnadu is already collecting information about badly affected areas and taking part in relief activities. Financial damages is estimated at a rupees over 2 lakh crores. Many politicians and celebrities have started creating awareness of cyclonic storm and started contributing.

Cyclone Gaja has taken many lives and nearly 2.5 lakh people became homeless. Many celebrities from Tamil industry are giving helping hand to cyclone victims. The upcoming big project Rajinikanth's 2.0 production house 'Lyca productions' producer and Director Subaskaran and Shankar have contributed a huge amount to cyclone victims.
Producer Subaskaran have donated Rs 1.01 crore, director Shankar has given a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to Tamil Nadu Cm relief fund.
On the other hand superstar Rajinikanth contributed Rs. 50 lakhs to cyclone relief and rehabilitation activities and also said his fans to take part in relief activities.
