Actor Arjun Sarja who has been accused on sexual harassment case by Sruthi Hariharan during MeToo movement got an relief from Bengaluru high court. Which instructed the police not to arrest Arjun Sarja till December 11th when the case will be heard next.
Arjun Sarja seeked high court to cancel the FIR registered by Cubbon Park Police based on Sruthi Hariharan's complaint.
Actress Sruthi HariHaran filed the case under the sections 354A, 506 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code. While the Section 354 relates to assault or exerting force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty; 506 is about punishment for criminal intimidation while 509 refers to a word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman.
Actress Sruthi Hariharan alleged her co-star Arjun Sarja in facebook post by saying the actor has touched inappropriately during the shooting of Film Vismaya in 2017.
Following this Arjun Sarja has filed defamation case of Rs 5 crore against Sruthi Hariharan at the Bengaluru High Court.
