We all know that the next big thing in Indian film industry is Shankar’s 2.O starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay kumar. This film is produced by Lyca productions with whooping budget of 450 crores the highest ever for an Indian film. Shankar’s team had recently released a making clip of the film addressing that the film will be shot completely in 3D to get the real experience of the film.
In the featurette released 2 days back director of the film Shankar and Cinematographer Nirav Shah who earlier shot for Dhoom and Wanted has mentioned that most of the Hollywood films releasing in 3D these days were initially shot in 2D and converted into 3D in the post-production process but 2.O is exclusively shot in 3D with great depth in each and every shot. The Camera used for filming 2.O is Red Pro 5.0. The visual effects and animatronics work is being done by Legacy Effects, America’s top Visual effects company. Kenny Bates is the Stunt Choreographer of the film who earlier worked for Michael Bay’s Transformers and some other Hollywood films. Superstar Rajinikanth said that he was mesmerized while watching the first 3D shots in small screen which he watched repeatedly and that he’s eagerly waiting to watch the expressions of the audience while watching the film.Here’s the 2.O 3D Featurette:
