Welcome To New York Stars Diljit Dosanjh as Teji, Sonakshi Sinha as Jeenal Patel and Riteish Deshmukh as Riteish, the main leads. Other cast includes Karan Johar, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani and Rana Daggubati etc.
Welcome To New York is written by Dheeraj Rattan and directed by Charki Toleti under Wiz Films banner. Santosh Thundiyil and Neha parti are the cinematographers of the film. While Sajid-Wajid, Meet Bros and Shamir Tandon have composed music for the film.
Jeenal Patel is an aspirant fashion designer and Teji is a recovery agent who wins lucky tickets for a Bollywood award show which will be held in New York. How these two are used by Lara to take revenge on Boman Irani the show runner is the plot.
Bollywood is one of the biggest movie producing industry in the world and the same time it is also one of the worst movie making industry for which it makes movies like this one. To endorse a Bollywood event and to make his entry into Bollywood makers of the film dramatically brought along all the actors and made a circus out of them. Sonakshi could have been anyone and Diljit should have kept on making his Punjabi pop songs, they may have performed well but it is pointless. Karan Johar as show host didn't make much impact. You will find a number of cameos too.
Chakri have again remade Neeraj Pandey's A Wednesday Day with which he began his career than making a meaningless scrap like Welcome to New York. Naina Phisal song feels good with Salman Khan in it. OTher numbers too can't help this soulless comedy film. Crisp runtime is the only positive thing about this film. Cinematography is good.
Horrible endorsement of IIFA awards. Watch at your own risk.
