Sundar resigns CEO post and competes against the political party headed by two members (Pala.Karuppaiah and Radha Ravi). And the rivalry starts with Varalaxmi the evil daughter of party chief and Sundar. How Sundar makes the revolution successful forms the rest of crux.
Sarkar is total Vijay's show, he carried it on his shoulders with his powerful dialogues delivery, stunts, dance. The first half of the film appears like any other mass masala films, the story with any other star would have fallen flat. The actual story begins in the second half, Murugadoss has strongly attacked the corrupted political leaders, especially the ruling govt.
Sarkar has many flaws, especially with the number of songs placements, the fight scenes are unrealistic and the most important point is weak villain characterization -Radha Ravi and Pala. Karuppaiah who are not as powerful as Vijay. Varalaxmi has a chance to prove herself, she got many powerful dialogues opposite Vijay.
Keerthy Suresh stays with Vijay from beginning to end, she looks cute but her role doesn't have much importance in the story. Her dance and lovely expressions are impressive. A.R Rahman's soundtrack is very weak. Despite lack of fresh material, Vijay's Sarkar has a number of electrifying elements and Murugadoss strong social message makes it a sure shot.
Same old predictable and political drama - watch for Vijay's Show
