Balu (Vishal) returns home to his village in south Tamil Nadu, after spending seven years in abroad. His father Durai Ayya (Raj Kiran) is a respectful person in Seven villages around this area, All are set to celebrate Thiruvizha (a week-long temple festival), after a court ban is lifted. The festival was stopped long ago when a war between castes became a law and order issue after Pechi’s (Varalakshmi Sarathkumar) husband was killed. Pechi wants to take revenge against Anbu (Hari) and tries to stop the festival. Pechi plans an attack to kill Anbu. However Ayya comes to rescue Anbu and in another instance, Balu comes to his rescue at the last minute. Ayya and his son's battle against Pechi and her family leaves Ayya injured. Now Balu has to not only save Anbu but also safeguard the family's honor by conducting the Thiruvizha.
Vishal effortlessly played the role of Balu he just looks same as in the first series, Vishal has come up with an intense and emotional performance. Keerthy Suresh in the role of the village is perfect eye candy, she is beautiful, rough and mass. Meanwhile, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar offered wonderfull performance in the strong antagonist role. She fulfilled all the requirements of the script demands.
Director Lingusamy has delivered the same old formula, which doesn't satisfy the audience. After an enjoyable first half, the second half fails to impress the audiences. The movie is engaging only in parts and could not become an entertaining commercial entertainer. Yuvan Shankar's BGM is good but his tunes fail to please the listeners. Cinematography by Sakthivel is impressive. Production values are good
NO SURPRISE.. NO FRESHNESS..
