Raju Gari Gadhi 2 movie starring King Nagarjuna, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ashwin, Vennala Kishore, Seerrat Kapoor and Shankar in the main lead roles and others for supporting characters.
Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is written and directed by Ohmkar, music composed by SS Thaman, Cinematography by Diwakaran and produced by PVP Cinemas.
Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is not an exact sequel to the first part but it comes under the same genre. This seems to be inspired from the Malayalam movie Pretham where Ohmkar handled the script decently by not deviating the main theme of the story. Performances of all the actors make hold of audiences while VFX scenes were moderate. Thaman’s BGM is good in some scenes and overshadowed the scariness in others. The predictable screenplay makes this movie above average while the crisp runtime helps the audiences.
Ohmkar who directed the first part which was scripted by him has now scripted the sequel by inspiring from a Malayalam horror Pretham. Ohmkar planned the first half very well with back to back entertaining scenes and horror touches while dropped a bit in second half by making the routine flashback. The predictable screenplay will be a minus to the movie. Diwakaran succeeded in capturing the beauty of resort and darkness in the back layer. Camera work is definitely a big asset for the film. This is the first time for Thaman to score music for a Horror genre and in a way, Thaman did well with BGM of the film. But, in some scenes, his loud music shrouded the essence of the scenes.
Though it’s first time Nagarjuna played a mentalist he did a great job in convincing audiences. Samantha performed too well with a bubbly girl part, ghostery part and emotional part. Her role is an extra cheese to the film. Ashwin stayed low where Vennela Kishore and Shankar entertained as usual.
Ohmkaar should have been made this even better. This horror-comedy is a one time watch and another moderate film in this genre.
