Maari is a mix of mass masala entertainer. The first part is mainly about the characterisation of Dhanush, this sequel is packed with friendship, romance, action, comedy and sentiment. Dhanush is a show stealer with his trademark and amazing dialogue delivery and equally, Sai Pallavi has performed in a decent manner. The chemistry between the lead pair is good. Tovino Thomas looks deadly in his role. The supporting cast like Varalakshmi, Robo Shankar, Vinoth and Krishna are all adequate.
Director Balaji hurried up to end the film, Yuvan Shankar Raja Background score is good but music is disappointing. Om Prakash superbly captured the Tenkasi locales. Editor GK Prasanna has also done a neat job.
