Kammaran Nambiar(Dileep) is a sly man who narrates his own story to a filmmaker Pulikesi(Bobby Simha).Kammaran recalls his story during the second world war, complete with his lies and tricks among the people of his village, his slavery towards the British. Even his love for Bhanumathi (Namita Pramod), completely changes the life of villagers and also expresses his jealous on ILP leader Othenan Nambiar (Siddharth). In the second half, filmmaker portrays the story of Kammaran on the screen where Kammaram don't even recognize his real story.
Dillep appeared in a multi-shaded role like an old bed-ridden man in first half and He is stiff in the bearded, mass look in the second half, but gives a convincing performance whole. Telugu and Tamil actor Siddharth, who made his Malayalam debut through this film, appears as a patriotic soldier in a convincing manner. It would be a great opportunity to Siddharth to show his performance on Malayalam screens with his own dubbing. Namitha Pramod is quite good in her role but adequate. Murali Gopi, Siddique, Bobby Simha, Indians and Vijayaraghavan has very limited screen shares.
Ratish Ambat impresses in his debut as director when the script supports him in the first half, but equally fails when the writing lets him down in the second half. Cinematography (Sunil KS) and art direction immensely help Rathish to take the film to the pre-Independence era of History. Gopi Sundar's background score tried to manage. Only the duration of the movie feels tiresome. Kammara Sambhavam is an experimental movie of Ratish Ambat
Kammara Sambhavam is a set of politics, Cinema and History
